So here’s my spill for today.  For the summer, I like to live a carefree independent life, and if you check out my blog, I talk all about Independent Lifestyles, and living a nonconformist life but very efficiently. For the summer, we all like to travel, very light, and very quick. So here is a small gadget guide accompanied with a short synopsis for each item. Before we get to the gadgets, we need a cool backpack, that is spacious, visually appealing, and leaves room for an outfit or two for on the go traveling, or weekend stays.

Things to go inside the Backpack:

Sony Playstation Vita- This is the gameboy with an entire new facelift.  The battery life is rumored to be out-of-this-world, giving the user more gaming time, and in addition to this significant change, we also get a 5-inch screen for the ultimate gaming experience.  This makes the screen big enough for our personal viewing pleasures, but small enough not to entice passerbys from looking over your shoulder inquiring about your ultimate gaming system.  I don’t know about you, but this is important for me.   This OLED screen is also touchscreen which completes this system.  Additional features include motion sensors, GPS, 3G capability, Cross-Platform compatibility (start the same game on the PS3, pause and continue on the Vita, life gets no better than this for the true die-hard game junkies), and the rear and front-facing camera. These are some of the features we were missing with the previous handheld Sony device…what was it called again?! Lol, moving on… you can find the Vita at Amazon or any of your favorite retailers as Circuit CityBest BuyHH GreggWal-MartTarget, and Sam’s Club.  The going price for this is a measly $250 bucks!

iPad HD- This is one of my favorite devices.  I never leave home without it, it’s that serious to me.   I mean we could easily bring our macbooks or PC laptops, but why do that when we have this thin piece of material that does practically everything our computers can do, and look way cooler while we do it.  If you don’t already have an iPad, please consider visiting the Apple Store as soon as you close this browser.

2-N-1 USB Adapter for iPad- You never know when there may be a file for some reason that you can’t throw in your dropbox or email, or maybe you may not have access to a wi-fi connection.  This gadget is here to save your life.  Quickly insert your USB adapter, then insert your USB into the adapter, and now you have access to those files.  Get yours today!

Nikon D5100- For the swarm of new photographers, we have the ultimate D-SLR camera for beginners.  I don’t know much about cameras, but I know my iPhone does just great.   For those, that need a bit more quality than what can be afforded from the iPhone please tune into the Nikon D-series.  I personally like Nikon, there is no seriously major difference between Canon and Nikon, but personal preference.  Be sure to grab a camera bag as well, and a few lenses.  One of my favorite camera gadget stores is Penn Camera.  Check those guys out, and get your Photography on this summer.

I’ve already given you the iPad and my spill on why I’m a great photographer using my iPhone device, so I won’t add insult to injury if you haven’t already confessed your sins, and purchased your own iPhone.  Let’s just hope you at least have a smart phone with the necessary apps.  Check for a post coming about those apps soon.

And Last, if you are a frequent traveler like me, or find yourself wanting to seclude yourself from the world (only child syndrome), or maybe you just want to check out some blogs and see the newly released music, you need some headphones.  Now the plight, I love superb sound, but am not necessarily big on those over-the-head headphones, but BOSE has something special.  Actually my dad turned me on to these (yes we are both techies).   The BOSE QuietComfort 3‘s will get you in an accident if you aren’t being careful.  Noise cancelling at the next level, please do not wear these and operate heavy machinery.  The rate for these is at $350 +, but they are worth every buck, and they come with a cool killer case.  Buy some of these and you will be wondering what the big deal with Beats by Dre was all about.  Check the review here.

These are my essentials, anything more than this, you may as well have a portable office at your disposal.  Happy Backpacking.

Cheers!
